A VISITORS FEE of $7.00 ($10.00 fee at the June & December meetings) per meeting is applicable

Are YOU looking for a NEW INTEREST ? - Can you be TEMPTED ? Are you aged between 10 and 110 ? Do you aspire to create that special floral design, maybe expand your creative floral skills, wish to enter a floral competition, have an interest in flower arranging, or do you simply enjoy mixing with others? If your answer was YES to any of these points, then be tempted and take some time on the second Saturday of the month and visit our Society where you can enjoy an afternoon of flowers and fellowship. If contemplating a visit please make contact with our Society Secretary so we can ensure our 'Hostess' will be there to MEET and WELCOME YOU to our meeting.
MEMBERSHIP
To become a member of this Society simply contact our Society Secretary who will be happy to provide you with information on the $50.00 annual membership subscription (which includes 'Membership Package', 'Entry at Meetings', 'Comprehensive Monthly Newsletter' etc).
MEETING FORMAT
Members of the West Australian Floral Art Society arrive at the Osborne Park Community Centre from 12.30pm, when they bring their designs (can be constructed off site) to stage in the various classes. Members are required to stage their exhibits between 12.30pm and 1.15pm with the commencement of the general meeting at 1.30pm. The staging of exhibits is not a compulsory requirement of this Society.
After general business a member or members of the WA Floral Art Society Inc provide demonstrations on the two subjects to be staged in the 'Show Benches' for the next month.
During these demonstrations, qualified floral art judges assess all exhibits staged in the various classes determining those exhibits who have achieved a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. Once all classes have been judged the exhibits gaining a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place are awarded with certificates. At the completion of the demonstration afternoon tea is served and it is during this time, that members can approach the judges who have assessed their exhibits and acquire feedback on their designs.
Smaller demonstrations or talks, lasting approximately 15 minutes are sometimes conducted prior to the conclusion of meetings where information is supplied on a variety of miscellaneous subjects eg. 'Corsage Construction', 'Decorative Bows', 'Manipulating Leaves', 'Glass Painting Technique', Flax, Small Table Designs, 'Tatami Matting, 'Ritzy Recycling' etc.
Meetings conclude at approximately 4.30pm.
