CLUB HISTORY

 

The Albany Floral Art Group Inc was established on the 29th September 1978 and the President during that time was Mrs Margaret Meatheral (since moved to South Australia) and the membership fee during that period was $1.00 per year!

 

The OBJECTS of the group are :

	To provide an interest in Floral Art
	To conduct workshops
	To encourage new members in a friendly atmosphere

 

Our meetings are held in the Bob Thompson Annexe of the Horticultural Pavilion - with members supporting Floral Art Section of the Annual Show.

 

Our meetings are held on the 2nd and 4th Friday.

 

    2nd Friday is 10;.00am to 3.30 approx.

    4th Friday is 1.30pm to 3.30pm.

 

On the 2nd Friday we hold a Raffle to boost funds.

WEST AUSTRALIAN FLORAL ART SOCIETY 

AFFILIATED CLUB TROPHY 

 

To further promote floral art in this state and acknowledge and support our affiliated clubs the West Australian Floral Art Society presented a trophy to the Albany Floral Art Group  to select a worthy recipient to receive this award.   This trophy was awarded to Marie Kohlhagen who gained the most points in monthly competitions and for her role as President.
