WA FLORAL ART SOCIETY INC 'AT HOME'  2006 Meeting 

The West Australian Floral Art Society Inc held a very successful floral afternoon on Saturday the 10th June 2006, where invitations were extended to  floral art clubs, fellow flower arrangers, guests, family and friends to share in a special mid year meeting titled 'AT HOME'.  

The staging of the Societies annual Members Championship competitions were also conducted during this meeting providing a 'Floral Feast' of textures, forms, patterns and colours showcasing the floral talents of members from this Society.  

A special demonstration  was conducted during the 'At Home' meeting by talented Floral Designer DENISE SHELBOURN - The title of Denise's demonstration was 'THE GAP' - a demonstration based around a day spent at Denise's home and the arrangements that would be found in her home.  (follow this link for a special report)

Special Demonstration Report:

Members and visitors were 'Welcomed' to a unique demonstration where Denise created a variety of designs using minimal materials, including some with an 'Ikebana' influence.   

Denise presented each guest with a lovely ribboned package of a 'home made' biscuit, tea bag and napkin - a reflection of Denise's demonstration title 'The Gap' - Welcome to my home where we will share a cup of tea !

A wonderful demonstration that appealed to all members and highlighted just how stunning designs can be created without a great deal of materials or expense and focusing on 'Floral Art'.
